Despite everything going well, Jax didn’t get along with Brian. Being physically weaker than him, Jax was constantly bullied. This had been going on for years and had become a familiar helplessness for Jax.

Although successful in his school life, he was equally unsuccessful socially. For many years, his only friend was Kayla, who lived in the same house. This continued until he met Derek. The two soon became close friends. Despite struggling to come out of his shell, a surprising event happened to Jax. The school team coach wanted him on the team. Even though he was physically weaker than his peers, the coach saw potential in him.
